Henry P. Conrad 1952-2024

BOARDMAN — Henry P. “Hank” Conrad, 72, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at Carilion Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia, after falling ill while traveling to Florida for his winter retreat.

Henry was born June 29, 1952, in Hagerstown, Maryland, a son of the late Edward and Victoria Leonardi Conrad. His family moved to the Mahoning Valley during his childhood and he was raised in Poland.

A proud alumnus of Poland Seminary High School, Hank pursued higher education at Kent State University and earned his bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University.

Hank enjoyed a dynamic career as a self-employed landlord, managing rental properties across the country. He found fulfillment not just in his work but also in his many adventures and passions.

A true enthusiast of life, Hank was an active member of the Poland Rotary and an accomplished pilot who loved taking to the skies in his own airplane. He also delighted in traveling, boating, and spending winters in Florida, where he embraced the warmth and beauty of the Sunshine State. Known for his lively spirit, Hank will forever be remembered as a prankster and daredevil, always bringing laughter and excitement to those around him.

Hank leaves behind his devoted partner, Patti Rodgers, with whom he shared his life and his home; Patti’s family, Domenic Cannistra of Cuyahoga Falls, Erin (Matthew) Donofrio of Boardman and Eila Grace Hall, who lovingly called him “Poppy.” Hank is also survived by his daughter, Taylor; his brother, Edward (Mary Elizabeth) Conrad of The Villages, Florida; numerous extended family members; and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Hank’s life Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown. Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m.
