James Paul Bosela 1958-2025
COLUMBIANA — James Paul Bosela, 66, passed away early Saturday morning, Jan. 25, 2025, at his home.
James was born Oct. 31, 1958, a son of the late Frank and Jeanne Horan Bosela. He attended Ursuline High School and graduated from Liberty High School. He studied abroad in Russia and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunications from Youngstown State University in 1995.
He worked for years at the Trumbull County Educational Service Center as the distance learning coordinator. He also served on the Columbiana school board.
Later in life, he worked for Harley-Davidson in Cleveland for the Schmidt family on the West Side, and after, in Warren for the Metzenroth family. James loved his work, especially bringing his beloved dogs, Leeloo and Kari, with him every day.
James enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, and bowling with the Birdfish bowling team. His favorite times were hanging out in his backyard with his family, laughing and grilling.
James was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joelle Waldron; and his three children, son, James David Bosela of Cincinnati, daughter, Adrian Waldron of Columbiana and son, Connor Bosela of Columbiana. James was a proud grandfather to Drennen and Reese. He is also survived by his brother, Frank (Toni LaBella) Bosela, who lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. James is also survived by many beloved cousins who loved him dearly.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Gregory Bosela.
A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, with the Rev. Chad Johnson officiating.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in James’ memory to St. Edward’s St. Vincent de Paul — St. Columba Cathedral Parish, 144 W. Wood St., Youngstown, OH 44503, ATTN: Clara Mullin.
