Kimberly K. Kohut-Struna 1987-2025

CANFIELD — Kimberly Kay Kohut-Struna, 37, affectionately known as “Kim,” sadly passed away at her home early Friday, Jan. 10, 2025.

Kim was born Aug. 18, 1987, in Warren.

She attended Howland High School, where she was active in softball and soccer. A proud member of a large, blended family, Kim treasured holiday gatherings and the time spent with her loved ones. She especially enjoyed summer vacations with Greg and their two youngest children, as well as hosting her grandson for days on end. Summers at the quarry, surrounded by nature and campfires, brought her special joy and she cherished peaceful moments at home watching television.

A devoted wife and mother, Kim began her career in health care as a nursing assistant. She later transitioned to being an avid homemaker, dedicating her energy to creating a loving home and nurturing her family.

Kim found delight in diamond art, shopping, playing games on her phone and dancing like no one was watching. She was her daughter Sophia’s biggest cheerleader at softball games and beamed with pride while listening to her son Alex play trombone at band concerts. A true crystal enthusiast, Kim cherished the beauty and energy they offered.

Her warm spirit, boundless devotion and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kim is survived by her parents, Kenneth Kohut Jr. (Ronnie) and Victoria Weeks; her sisters, Nicole Kohut (James), Samantha Stetka (Jerry), Jessica Kohut (Grant) and Anna Roharik (Ron); her brothers, Joshua Battaglia (Kryssa) and Colton Weeks; her loving husband, Gregory Struna; her daughters, Kaylee Devlin and Sophia Struna; her son, Alexander Struna; her grandson, Ka’Mari Jenkins and another expected grandson this year; along with five nieces and six nephews.

Kim was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Weeks; her grandmothers, Sandra Kay Kohut, Patricia Goode, and Sheryl Weeks; and two uncles, David Kohut and Frank Luzar.

Calling hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 180 Belvedere Ave. NE, Warren. All who knew and loved Kim are welcome to attend and celebrate her wonderful life.

Interment will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park.

Kim was profoundly touched by the struggles faced by those experiencing homelessness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to a local homeless shelter so Kim’s compassionate spirit may live on through helping others in need.

Arrangements are entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated to serving your loved ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
