Sergio A. Galazia 1988-2025

LOWELLVILLE — Sergio A. Galazia, 36, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, Jan. 13, 2025.

He was born on Feb. 21, 1988, in Youngstown, the son of Ronald and Marie Kadvan Galazia.

Sergio was a 2006 graduate of Lowellville High School.

He displayed immense pride in his work as the owner and operator of Eclipse Asphalt, where he specialized in laying asphalt and seal coating.

He was well-known for his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, often without a moment’s hesitation. His hands-on skills were evident in his love for remodeling projects, showcasing his creativity and talent in every endeavor he undertook.

Sergio lived for his children, Alina and Vigo, who were his world. He enjoyed working out and had a competitive spirit, particularly when it came to playing cards; poker was one of his favorites. The bond he forged with his family was unbreakable, and his laughter and generous spirit will resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.

Sergio is survived by his wife, Jade Antonelli Galazia, whom he married on Sept. 25, 2021. His children, Alina and Vigo, whom he deeply cherished alongside their mother, Jenna Bartlett; brother, Ronald (Jamie DeFrank) Galazia of Struthers; along with his cherished nieces and nephews, Nadia and Enzo Galazia and Eli and Freya Antonelli. Sergio also held dear his cousin, Mandi Saluga of Canfield; his godmother, Josephine Tisler of Struthers and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Charles and Evelyn Galazia; his maternal grandparents, Andrew and Christine Kadvan; his godfather, Albert “Sandy” Sandora Jr.; and several dear friends.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home-Poland Chapel, 2726 Center Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44514. The funeral service will follow at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to his children.
