Virginia Chiovitti 1955-2025
BOARDMAN — Virginia Chiovitti, 69, passed away Friday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2025, with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 21, 1955, in Youngstown, the daughter of Steve and Mary Hibala Lippa, and was a lifelong area resident.
Virginia graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Youngstown State University.
Virginia was a homemaker and of the Catholic faith. She was a proud member of the Republican Party and would always talk politics with everyone.
She will always be remembered for her smile and outgoing personality. She was full of life and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her husband, going fishing and hunting. Virginia also enjoyed reading and doing bookkeeping.
She leaves behind to hold onto her memories, her husband of over 27 years, Mario Chiovitti, whom she married in January 1998; a daughter, Valerie (Brandon) Aldan; two stepsons, Michael (Darrian) Chiovitti and Mario Chiovitti II; several grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorraine Nuzzi and Patricia (Glen) Hanson; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may pay their respects 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, and again 10:30 until 10:55 a.m Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with Fr. John Jerek as celebrant.
Entombment will take place in Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
