Anna M. Brown 1950-2025

BERLIN CENTER — Anna M. Brown, 75, of Berlin Center, died Thursday morning, Jan. 30, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

She was born Jan. 27, 1950, in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Angeline Congenelli Constantino. Anna was a 1968 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and she attended the Choffin Career and Technical Center, achieving a degree in dental assisting.

She worked for several area dentists during her career, as well as helping her mother with her business on South Avenue in Youngstown. Anna also served as a substitute teacher for MCCTC, and she held a managerial license in cosmetology, owning and operating Annie’s Beauty Salon in Lake Milton for a time.

She married Mark A. Brown on July 1, 1990. They shared nearly 35 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.

Anna was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed reading and word search puzzles.

Besides her husband, Anna is survived by three children, Richard Atyim of Niles, Michael Atyim of Lorain and Abigail Brown of Berlin Center. She also leaves behind two stepsons, Michael (Thea) Brown of Canfield and Jason Brown of Cortland; and three beloved grandchildren, Elena, Forrest and Michala.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lillian Galose.

Private funeral services will be held.

She will be laid to rest in Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
