Charles DePoy 1944-2025

He was born July 3, 1944, in Youngstown, to the late Thorton DePoy and Jean Wilson DePoy.

He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and went on to become a mill worker for over 50 years.

Tom married the love of his life, Helena Sue Mumaw DePoy, on May 23, 1970, with whom he would spend 38 years creating a lifetime of memories until her passing in 2008.

Tom had a passion for many things in life such as cutting grass, cheering on the Cleveland Indians baseball team and working on cars, but his number one love in life was spending time with his family.

Tom leaves behind to carry on his memory, his children, Tom (Anjanette) DePoy and Christa (Michael) Flesher; his grandchildren, Thomas Jr. and Grayce; and his siblings, Carl (Jayne) DePoy and Diana (Mike) Germano.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2025, at Lane Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, with a service 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to Hospice of the Valley.
