Earl Haddle 1953-2025

Earl was born April 20, 1953, in Youngstown, to the late Carl Haddle Sr. and Mary Stirk Haddle.

After graduating from Chaney High School in 1971, Earl met the love of his life while working at Woolco and began his family following their marriage on Feb. 16, 1974.

Earl retired from General Extrusions after 42 years of service in 2015.

In life, Earl enjoyed supporting the local sports teams from Cleveland (even if they repeatedly let him down), The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, and any team not from Pittsburgh or Michigan. Earl loved trips to the casino in his spare time but loved nothing more in life than his friends and family.

Earl cared about everyone he ever met and was the type of person who would do anything within his power to help those he cared about. Earl often viewed his son’s friends as surrogate children and cared for them as if they were his own and considered each and every one of them family. Earl was a great man with a strong character who could light up a room with his sense of humor. Earl will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Earl leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Judy Lynn Shilling; sons, Jeremy Haddle and Jamie Haddle; granddaughter Addison Kennedy; brother, Carl “Zeke” (Joanne) Haddle Jr.; sisters-in-law, Debbie Haddle, Karen Shilling; brother-in-law; David Kohut; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Kenneth, and Mabel Sheely Shilling; sister, Patricia “Pati” Kohut; brother, Robert Haddle; and brothers-in-law, Dennis Shilling and Ted Shilling.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, Ohio 44471.
