Frances A. Dettmer 1941-2025
DIAMOND — Frances A. “Pat” Dettmer, 83, of Diamond, died Friday afternoon, Jan. 31, 2025, at the Omni Manor Nursing Center in Youngstown.
“Pat” as she was affectionately known, was born March 6, 1941, in Ravenswood, W.Va., a daughter of Oscar J. and Mildred Parrish Alltop.
She attended Jackson Milton High School and spent her adult life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.
Pat married Helmut F. Dettmer on July 6, 1957. They shared 67 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.
She was a member of the Mount Moriah Lutheran Church in Berlin Center. She enjoyed cooking for her family, crafts, doll making, and she was an avid cross stitcher.
Besides her husband, Pat is survived by two children, Dean (Michelle) Dettmer of Austintown and Donna Henson of Oklahoma. She also leaves behind a grandson, William Henson; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Loretta Dettmer; a son, Daniel C. Dettmer; a sister, Lucy Walters and a brother, David Alltop.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest in the Eckis Cemetery, Milton Township.
