Frank J. Patrick Jr. 1946-2025

BOARDMAN — Frank J. Patrick Jr., 78, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, of heart failure, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 13, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of the late Frank J. Patrick Sr. and Ann Rueben Severn. Frank was a 1964 graduate of Struthers High School.

He worked at Strouss Department Store after graduation until getting drafted into the Army in 1966, where he served in Vietnam.

After his discharge from the Army, he worked at Delphi Packard Electric for 37.5 years, retiring Jan. 1, 2007. He worked in Plant 3 as a molds operator and committeeman, Plant 8 on tow motor and his last five years as a zone committeeman. He loved being a union representative and was a good negotiator.

Frank enjoyed eating at Bob Evans Restaurant, woodworking, watching “Gunsmoke,” and playing the machines and cards at the casino. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.

Frank leaves behind his brother, Michael Patrick of Struthers; sister, Sheila (Mark) Brooker of Poland; nieces, Jennifer (Robert) Patrick Cummings, Heidi Patrick, Krista Brooker and Madison (Eric) Palmore-Lett; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Patrick; and his best friend, Lucky the cat.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers, and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, with a prayer service following at 11 a.m., at the funeral home.

His final resting place will be in Lake Park Cemetery.
