Josephine K. Patrick 1937-2025

HUBBARD — Josephine K. Patrick, 87, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025.
Josephine was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Margaret Burley.
She was a 1956 graduate of The Rayen School.
For 47 years she worked in Central Services at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital before retiring in 2009.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
Everyone knew Josie loved the sun, beach vacations and sitting by the pool, as well as shopping and Christmas. Anyone who had the pleasure of being spoiled by a “Josie Claus” Christmas will always remember just how much she loved it.
She loved to watch college and professional football, always cheering on her Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns.
Josephine will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her beloved sons, Michael A. (Melinda) Patrick of Hubbard and Mark J. (Marcy) Patrick of Boardman; and grandson, Stephen Patrick. She also leaves her sister, Kathleen Patten of Hubbard; constant companion, friend and caregiver, Joanna Matyas Carroll of Warren; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by all her fur granddoggies.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Mark Anthony Patrick; her
sisters, Mary Elizabeth Wrona, Joanne Brinco and Marge Veneroso; and brothers, Jack Burley, Robert Burley and William Burley.
There will be services 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, with the Very Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Josephine will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.
