Jurgen D. Starr 1967-2025

MINERAL RIDGE – Jurgen David Starr, 57, passed away unexpectedly, 4:41p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, following an unexpected heart attack at work.
Jurgen was born Aug. 19, 1967, in Kassel, Germany, the son of Dennis F. Starr and Roswitha Kulcsar. He came to the United States from Germany at a young age and settled in Pennsylvania and later in Ohio.
He was of the Protestant faith, attended local schools and was an RC car collector.
He was a truck driver for the R & J Trucking Company of Boardman for many years and was in the trucking business all his adult life.
Jurgen is survived by his wife, Linda Yates Starr, whom he married June 16, 2001; mother, Roswitha Kulcsar of Mineral Ridge; father, Dennis F. Starr of Bloomsburg, Pa.; son, Jurgen D. Starr Jr. of Pennsylvania; two stepsons, Thomas (Amanda) Dawson of Greenville, Pa., and Bradley (Tiffany) Dawson of Hubbard; and four grandchildren, Amber, Evan, Morgan and Noah. He also leaves a brother, Michael S. Starr; and two stepbrothers, Kerry Beaver and Kyle Beaver, all of Bloomsburg, Pa.
At Jurgen’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
A celebration of life gathering will be announced by the family.
