LOWELLVILLE — Mariann Logozzo, 67, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Born Nov. 1, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Angelo Scatamacchio and Mary Pezzulo.
A proud 1975 graduate of Mohawk High School, Mariann’s life was filled with love and dedication.
On July 7, 1979, she married Joseph Logozzo, the love of her life, and the two enjoyed nearly 20 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 1999.
Mariann had a strong work ethic working at Weingardner Greenhouse in New Castle, Gianna’s Catering in Lowellville, and as secretary at GP Constructions in Edinburg for over 20 years, retiring in 2020.
Cooking and baking were among Mariann’s greatest joys, especially when she shared her culinary talents with family and friends. Her most cherished tradition was preparing for Bigga Day to mark the annual start of the Mount Carmel Festival in Lowellville. Her cooking, always made with love, was accompanied by the smooth sounds of Frank Sinatra playing in the background. Mariann was the go-to person for everything, from school dance preparations to crafting projects with her children and grandchildren.
Above all, family meant the world to Mariann. She treasured every moment spent making memories with her loved ones, whether on a beach trip or at a family dinner. As a wife, mother, and nana, she embraced her role with unmatched devotion and love.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters Kristen (Tim Ernes) Logozzo of Poland, Lauren (Benjamin) Lewis of Lowellville and Adrianne (Brian) Wharry of Lowellville; her beloved grandchildren, Joey Ernes, Ella Lewis, Lena Lewis, Mila Wharry and Leo Wharry; her brother-in-law, Ralph (Connie) Logozzo of Poland; her sister-in-law, Sandy (Alan Parker) Pitoscia of Lowellville; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever remember her kindness, warmth and laughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sweet, angel granddaughter, Aria Isabella Wharry.
