Mary Ann Emery 1953-2025

NORTH BENTON – Mary Ann Emery died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at the age of 71.
She was born April 20, 1953, in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Anna Engelmann Emery.
Mary Ann was a graduate of Ursuline High School, Class of 1971, and earned her law degree from Case Western Reserve University. She spent her career as a national bank examiner for the U.S. Treasury Department. Even after her retirement, she continued to share her passion for learning and work by obtaining a master’s degree in library science and working in the private sector with the Federal Reserve Bank.
Mary Ann dedicated her time by volunteering at the Museum of Labor and Industry in Youngstown, where she categorized historical publications.
Her intellectual pursuits were balanced by her love for life, which included traveling, reading, cooking and cherishing family gatherings with her loved ones. She loved her cat, Cleo.
Mary Ann is survived by her brothers, Bill Emery, Bruce (Tammy) Emery; nephews, Bruce Emery Jr., Jacob (Carla) Emery, Michael Emery, Kyle Emery; niece, Kaitlyn (Michael) Grantonic; great-nephew, Colton; and great-niece, Riley.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her brother, John Emery; niece, Lynn Emery-Revak; and great-nephew, Nick Revak.
Mary Ann’s services will be private.
