Patricia M. Majors 1937-2025

HUBBARD — Patricia M. Majors, 87, passed away peacefully at home, Sunday morning, Feb. 16, 2025, with her family by her side as she completed her earthly journey uniting with Jesus.
Patricia was born Feb. 28, 1937, in Butler, Pa., a daughter of the late George and Edith Stevenson Ervin.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She was dedicated to finding joy in each day and being grateful to the Lord for all she was given.
Oh, how she loved preparing and serving Thanksgiving meals for her extended family over the years. She especially loved visits from her sisters, her nephew and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, meeting her newest great-grandson in December when he was just a month old. She had treasured neighbors who checked in on her whom she cherished dearly.
A special thank you to Dr. Howard Slemons for his love and care of our Mom over the years.
Patricia’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her and the many lives she touched. Her legacy of love and a quick wit will remain in our hearts forever.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hubbard.
Patricia will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her son, Donald (Marilyn) Majors of Cave Creek, Arizona; her daughter, Ellen Majors of Westbrook, Connecticut; her granddaughters, Victoria Majors (Brett Buehner) of Destin, Florida, and Alexandra (Steven) Scoville of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and great-grandchildren, Penelope, Tripp and Tatum Scoville, and Blake Majors-Buehner.
She leaves sisters, Donna DePinto of Youngstown, Claire DePaul of Austintown and Diane Breedlove of Girard. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Nancy (George) Millovich of Beavercreek; a brother-in-law, Harry Wheland of Youngstown; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, whom she married Oct. 12, 1957; her brother, William Ervin; and her sister, June Vigliotti.
There will be services held 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, with calling hours 2 to 3 p.m., at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
Patricia will be laid to rest in Hubbard Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, 1300 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Youngstown, OH 44510 (rescuemissionmv.org), which Patricia supported for many years not wanting anyone to go without a Thanksgiving meal.
Family and friends are invited to visit www.stewart-kyle.com to share memories and condolences.
