Reba J. McCracken 1943-2025

LAKE MILTON –Reba J. McCracken, 81, passed away peacefully into eternal rest, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2025, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 19, 1943, in Widen, W.Va., the daughter of the late Charlie Ratliff and Leaty A. Hamrick Ratliff. Reba had lived in Milton Twp., since 1972, formerly of Widen, W.Va.

She married the love of her life, Arthur B. McCracken, on Aug. 25, 196,1 and they enjoyed the past 63 years of marriage together.

Reba had been a member of New Road Baptist Church in Austintown for the last seven years. She loved reading books, keeping a clean home, and raising her children and grandchildren.

Reba is survived by her loving husband, Arthur B. McCracken of Milton Township; one daughter, Beverly and Keith Evans of Palmyra Township; three sons, Arthur and Elizabeth McCracken of Indiana, David and Sasha McCracken of Washington, and Jonathan McCracken of Newton Falls; two sisters, Frankie Drake of Flatwoods, W.Va., and Nancy Keener of Gassaway, W.Va.; one brother, David and Joyce Ratliff of Wilsie, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Kody, Tyler, Rachel, Elora, Jessica and Leaty; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025, at James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with Pastor Tom Dooley officiating.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest in Palmyra West Cemetery in Diamond.
