Sheila J. Donahue 1954-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Sheila “Shelley” Jeanne Donahue passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Shelley was born in Tawas City, Michigan, on June 6, 1954, to Richard and Wilma Wilson.

She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend.

Shelley was a graduate of Youngstown State University in nursing. She went on to work at Northside Hospital, Glenbeigh Recovery and First Step Recovery for over 35 years. She also worked for the Ohio Turnpike, where she loved the short interactions she had with strangers.

Shelley enjoyed the outdoors as she was a member of the Lake Milton Ski Team, where she competed in ski shows with her husband and friends. She continued to waterski throughout her life. She was a member of the Austintown Ski Club and was an avid snowboarder. She was a nature and animal lover; her most recent black lab was Lilly. She spent much of her free time on the lake with her family and dogs. Shelley made a lot of crafts, most recently she had been making necklaces for her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Wilson; and brother-in-law, John Naypaver.

Sheila is survived by her mother, Wilma Wilson; brothers, Richard Wilson (Holly) and Jeffery Wilson (Susan); husband of 48 years, Bruce Donahue; children, Kyle Donahue (Fiona Sabo) and Kacie Donahue; sister-in-law, Linda (John) Naypaver; nephew, Rich Wilson (Kristina); niece, Angelina Venerosa; grandchildren, Oliver Donahue and Scarlet Donahue; great-niece, Mila Wilson; and great-nephew, William Wilson. She also leaves grandpets,Toby, Artemis, Georgie and Penny.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Services have been entrusted to Augustine Funeral Home.
