William A. Gentile Sr. 1942-2025

William, known to everyone as “Billy G.,” was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Youngstown, the son of the late William A. and Lena Tombo Gentile.

William worked as a sales manager for Schwebel’s Bakery.

He was an avid golfer and a golf instructor. He liked to play bocce and played in many bocce tournaments. He enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and landscaping.

William was an altar server at his church in Florida, where he lived for 19 years.

All that knew him liked William. He will be missed.

He is survived by two sons, Billy Gentile Jr. and Vince Gentile; his brother, Bob (Kandi) Gentile; and his two sisters, Anna Marie Musolino and Patty Mussaro; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave., Struthers. A service will follow at 7 p.m.

He will be laid to rest with his parents in St. John Cemetery.
