AnnaMarie Allison 1941-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — AnnaMarie Allison, 83, of Youngstown’s West Side, passed away peacefully, Saturday evening, March 22, 2025, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

AnnaMarie was born Oct. 6, 1941, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John C. Ragan and Anna M. Sciranko Ragan. She was a lifelong resident of the West Side and a proud graduate of Chaney High School, Class of 1959.

A dedicated homemaker, AnnaMarie also worked outside the home as a talented cook at Misty’s Cafe, Steelton, Molly’s and the Ice House Inn throughout her life. Her cooking brought warmth and joy to many, and her strong work ethic was evident in all that she did.

AnnaMarie was a devout member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, where she was actively involved with the rosary makers group.

She had a creative spirit and enjoyed crocheting and gardening. AnnaMarie also loved feeding the birds, dancing, watching a good movie and listening to music. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family — her greatest source of joy and comfort.

She is survived by her loving family, her three sons, William P. Jr (Dawn), Richard B. and Michael J.; her daughter, Mary Ann Nagy Campolito; five grandchildren, Ashley Nagy, Cortney Nagy, William C. (Eddie Sanchez) Allison, Kristina Campolito and Marissa Allison; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, Ashley Hall, John Hall and Elaine Gombas; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Her husband, William P. Allison Sr., whom she married May 27, 1961, passed away March 1, 1983. Anna was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole Nagy; and two sisters, Theresa Tomasino and Georgia Smith.

Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the funeral home, and continue with a Funeral Liturgy celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, where AnnaMarie will be laid to rest beside her husband.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
