Carol Ann Peebles 1942-2025

BOARDMAN — With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Spin Peebles on Monday, March 17, 2025. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Carol’s life was a testament to her deep love for her family and her unwavering faith in Christ.

Carol was a proud graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Youngstown. Born Feb. 18, 1942, to beloved parents, Joseph and Mary Gaca Spin, her strength and grace were evident from an early age. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sisters, Barbara DeVincent and Veronica Valley. Though they are now gone, their memory will live on in the love and wisdom Carol shared with all who knew her.

Her a was marked by a dedication to both family and work. Many knew her from her career at Daily Legal News, where she built lasting relationships with colleagues and the community. She later retired from Nemenz IGA, where she continued to touch lives with her kindness and warmth as a cashier.

Carol’s faith was at the center of her life. As a devout Catholic, she was an active member of St. Matthias Church in Youngstown, where she found strength and community. She lived her life with conviction, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her through her gentle spirit and deep compassion.

Carol leaves behind her beloved children, Dennis (Tina) Peebles, Denise Nemeth and Shelley (Chris) Peebles; and her brother, Robert (Judith) Spin. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Ashley (Luke) Peebles, Anthony (Stephanie) Peebles, Brett (Jess) Nemeth, Christian (Callie) Nemeth, Arianna Peebles and Angelina Peebles. Her legacy also lives on through her great-grandchildren, Zoe Saylor, Bella Trimboli, Lukey Thomas and Goldie Nemeth, whose lives she touched with immeasurable love.

Carol was able to go peacefully at home, with professional services entrusted to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice and Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, there will be no public services. Her immediate family will gather privately to celebrate and honor her life.

Carol’s passing leaves a void that will never be filled but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a woman who gave her love freely, who lived with kindness and grace, and who showed us all what it means to be devoted, compassionate and true.

May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the grace of her faith.
