Judith E. Fields 1945-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Judith E. Fields, 80, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, March 17, 2025.

Judith was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Youngstown, the daughter of Roy H. and Beverly Bowman Johnson.

She worked for City Ash Company and for St. Elizabeth Hospital in data entry. She was a 1963 graduate of The Rayen High School.

Judith was an avid bowler, played in various card clubs and volunteered her time to local organizations. In 2004, she became a docent for The Butler Institute of American Art. She also worked for the Victorian Players theatre group until 2020.

She had a passion for car racing, attending the weekly races at Canfield Speedway. Judith would race cars in the Powder Puff Derby, winning nine out of 10 races she entered.

Judith is survived by three stepsons, Myron, James and Joseph Fields; her brother, Robert (Mary Lynn) Johnson of Poland; and two nephews, Terrence (Terry) Johnson of Eastlake and Michael Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Harold “Marty” Fields, and her parents.

Judith’s positive attitude and willingness to pitch in will be missed by everyone.

The family will receive relatives and friends 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, followed by funeral services at 4 p.m.
