Leonard J. Yavorsky Jr. 1954-2025

Leonard was born May 7, 1954, in Youngstown, a son of the late Leonard J. Sr. and Sophie Hrinko Yavorsky.

He graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in 1972 and worked as a press operator at several fabrication companies.

Leonard was an avid bowler at the Holiday Bowl. He bowled several 300 games and 800 sets. His talent was unmatched.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sisters, Winifred M. (Dr. Murali) Guthikonda, Denise A. (Eugene) Leson and Karen M. (Dr. Mark) Herbert; two nephews and four nieces; four great-nephews and five great-nieces; and beloved companion, Diana Underwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be 10 to 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish-St. Matthias Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Fr. John Jerek.

He will be laid to rest in Lake Park Cemetery with his parents.

A celebration of life will be held in May.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home in Boardman.
