Lillian J. Guerrieri 1936-2025

Together again

LOWELLVILLE — Lillian Jean Rapone Guerrieri, 88, passed away peacefully, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers.

Born July 17, 1936, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Grace Sandy Rapone.

Lilly was a devout Catholic and member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. She was a lifelong resident of Lowellville and an active member and participant in the Mount Carmel Society. She looked forward to and attended their annual festival every year. She especially loved participating in the parade with her grandchildren and family members.

She was a 1954 graduate of Lowellville High School. She was a homemaker and her family was the center of her life.

Lilly was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She found happiness in her later years helping others, reading books and playing cards. She adored her grandchildren, always offering her love and encouragement whenever she could. Lilly loved socializing and was a friend to everyone, always leading with compliments.

Lilly is survived by her two sons, Ronald (Andrea) Guerrieri and Patrick (Sheri) Guerrieri; five grandchildren, Tyler, Allison, Sean, Katie and Jimmy; a sister, Norma Rapone Mascio; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joan Guerrieri; as well as numerous and beloved nieces, nephews and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

In addition to her parents, Lilly was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald James Guerrieri Sr.; brothers, Eugene and Robert Rapone; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Rapone, Mary Ann Guerrieri, Catherine Sandy and Frances Ambrosini; and brothers-in-law, Albert Guerrieri Jr., Nicholas Sandy, Richard Ambrosini and Anthony Mascio.

Family and friends will be received 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill Street in Lowellville.

There will be a prayer service 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 131 E. Wood St. in Lowellville, with the Rev. Fr. Zachary Coulter.

Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Lowellville.
