Robert F. Dailey Sr. 1949-2025

COLUMBIANA — Robert F. Dailey Sr., 75, passed away early Saturday afternoon, March 1, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Robert was born June 14, 1949, in Salem, the son of William N. and Estella V. McCoy Dailey, and had been an area resident all his life.
A 1969 graduate of Columbiana High School, Bob worked at NRM in Columbiana, Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Columbiana Boiler, Lyle Gwin Contracting Co. as a heavy equipment mechanic, Earl Corey Co., Lear Seating in Lordstown as an assembler and Intier Seating, also in Lordstown.
He was a member of UAW Local 1112, the Beaver Creek Sportsman Club in Washingtonville and the Mahoning Valley Knife Collectors Association.
He enjoyed NASCAR and showing his antique cars, including his 1940 red Chevy. Bob also liked to spend time outdoors, hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
He married the former Mary “Tina: Morelli on July 27, 1968, and was raised Methodist.
Robert leaves to cherish his precious memory, his daughter and caregiver, Shannon (fiancé, Mark Feezle) Dailey of New Waterford; two grandsons, Jared (Alexis) Houser of New Waterford and Derek Houser of New Springfield; great-granddaughter, Winter “Wini”; and great-grandson, Everett “Ever.” He also leaves a brother-in-law, Daniel Morelli; and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Dailey and Valerie (Steven) Miller; and his cat, Timmy, who was his buddy and constant companion.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, who passed away Sept. 30, 2012; his son, Robert Dailey Jr., who passed away Dec. 5, 2021; and brothers, Ed, William, Harry and John Dailey.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana, with Pastor Phil Bartholomew officiating.
Friends may call 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025, and also one hour prior to the services, 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
