Rose M. Turner 1931-2025

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Rose Marie Lucido Turner, 94, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, in Fort Myers, surrounded by the love and care of her daughters.
Born Feb. 10, 1931, in Lowellville, Rose was the daughter of Angelo and Nerina Lucido.
Rose was a proud graduate of Lowellville High School, Class of 1949, and retired after a fulfilling career.
Rose was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cherished every family member, including her large extended family in Ohio and Canada.
Rose was affectionately known as “GG” by her great-grandchildren, a testament to the love and admiration she inspired across generations.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Brenda Gridley, Rebecca Turner and Melanie Turner.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Thomas Matthew Turner.
Her remarkable memory made her the keeper of family stories and cherished moments, ensuring that no details of events or traditions were ever forgotten.
Rose was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She found great joy in planning and attending events within her active community, always bringing people together with her excellent cooking, kindness and enthusiasm.
In her later years, she embraced simple pleasures — reading on her Kindle, playing cards with friends and family, and asking Alexa to play her favorite music.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A memorial will be held in Youngstown at a date to be announced.
