Ruth C. Molvin 1931-2025

Ruth was born April 24, 1931, in Butler, Pa., a daughter of the late Agustus and Cecelia Walsh Clouse.

She had a long career at the former Strouss Department Store at the Southern Park Mall in the fragrance department before retiring.

Ruth was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church, where she served in the Altar Guild and was also involved with the Garden Club of St. Michael’s. She generously volunteered at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Ruth had a passion for traveling and experienced many incredible adventures with her late husband, Louis P. Molvin, whom she married Sept. 12, 1954. They shared a love of travel and Ruth especially looked forward to spending winters with her son in Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, who passed away April 5, 2020.

Ruth is survived by her children, Christina (David) Hashier of Perry, Beth Molvin of Salem, Louis (Marla) Molvin of Phoenix, Arizona, and Maria (Dana Keller) of Munroe Falls. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Megan, Doug, Nick, Amanda, Shannon and Molly; as well as six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Niko, John, Natalie, Gavin and Griffin.

Ruth will be remembered fondly by her caregiver and good friend, Chris Hollobaugh, who provided Ruth with exceptional care and helped her remain in her own home for as long as possible.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
