Sadie Fennell 1931-2025

She was the daughter of Generose and Lucy Marotti, born June 21, 1931. She grew up on the East Side of Youngstown. She had six brothers, Sam, Lou, Jerry, Tony, Victor and Alex; and five sisters, Fanny, Philomena, Lena, Esther and Antoinette, all of whom preceded her in death.

Sadie worked hard all her life. In her younger years, she worked for Berlo Vending, General Electric and Sandelini’s with her family. Later in life, she was a caregiver and also would clean homes.

She met the love of her life, Howard Fennell, and they were married in 1978. They enjoyed a beautiful life together until his passing in 2014. They would spend time with friends, go to car shows with their ’62 Corvette, and go dancing. They often traveled to Florida to visit family and friends.

Sadie loved to shop and always was dressed to impress. She was the ultimate diva.

She leaves behind her son, Dr. Frank (Cindy) Yannucci; her grandchildren, Frank Jr., Samantha and Alexandra; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Sadie touched many lives and cared for many people during her lifetime. Remember her beautiful smile, hugs and “I Love Yous.”

Family and friends may call 11 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, followed by funeral services at noon.

Many thanks for the care and compassion she received from all the staff at Masternick Memorial. Much love and thanks to the memory care unit family she spent her last year with. Also, thanks to Akeso Hospice for their services.
