Carol J. Bednarik 1941-2025

POLAND — Carol J. Bednarik passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
Carol was born Jan. 12, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter of Daniel and Margaret Unick Liposchak.
She was a 1958 graduate of Struthers High School and a graduate of Hannah Mullins School of Practical Nursing.
Carol was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area. She was of the Catholic faith, and was a member of Holy Rosary in Lowellville and previously a member of St. John’s in Campbell.
She was a homemaker and worked for Home Interiors as a demonstrator. Carol also worked as a sales person for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She went on to work as an LPN for Assumption Village, from where she retired.
Carol enjoyed playing bingo, plaster craft and playing cards, and she loved visiting with her family.
Carol will be deeply missed and always remembered by her children, Pamela (Robert) Taybus of Poland and Debra Sharkey of Youngstown; her daughter-in-law, Christine Bednarik; her grandchildren, Michael Ciccolelli, Katie (Robert) Lovell and Ashley( Joseph) Diamantini; great-grandchildren, Leo and Luka Lovell; her stepbrothers, Daniel (Gloria) Liposchak and Patrick (Marinan) Liposchak; her stepsister, Margo Dreher; and her brother-in-law, Kenneth (Karen) Bednarik.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kenneth Bednarik; and her former husband, Richard Bednarik.
The Bednarik family has entrusted Carol’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Calling hours will be 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2025, at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., officiated by Fr. Tom Kraszewski.
Carol will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
