Doris E. Mesaros 1939-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Doris E. Mesaros, 85, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 31, 2025, at Hospice House.

Doris was born May 16, 1939, in Enon Valley, Pa., a daughter of Harry A. Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Kuhn Cracraft.

She worked for Mesaros Towing, was a seamstress for the former Youngstown Casket Company, worked in the pharmacy at PharMor and was a cashier at Walmart, retiring in 2012.

Doris was a 50-year member of the former Coitsville Presbyterian Church and currently a member of Christ Community Church in Campbell. She was an avid crocheter.

Her husband, Donald J. Mesaros Sr., whom she married March 23, 1957, passed away April 14, 1996.

Doris will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her daughter,Trudy E. Saraz-Marvin of Independence; her son, Thomas M. (Jackie) Mesaros of Campbell; four grandchildren, David (Ashley) Mesaros Jr., Maggie (Kyle) Bryngelson, Tiffany (Tony) Cullison and Jose (Chardnay) Lugo-Pacheco; and eight great grandchildren, David III, Michael, Teven, Mackenzie, Dominic, Mitchell, CJ and JC. She also leaves her sister, Carol Gifford of Liberty; and sister-in-law, Becky Cracraft of Hubbard; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George (Dulcie) Kapsulis, and several cousins.

Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Donald J. Mesaros Jr. and David Mesaros Sr.; sisters, Janet Fair, June DeRaud and Jean Greathouse; brother, Harry Cracraft Jr.; and sons-in-law, Daniel Marvin and Ronald Saraz.

There will be calling hours 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the funeral home, with calling hours 10 to 11 a.m.

Doris will be laid to rest in Jackson Cemetery.
