Gerald S. Guerriero Sr. 1958-2025

Jerry was born April 7, 1958, in Youngstown, to Joseph and Ida Guerriero. He was a graduate of Boardman High School, Class of 1976.

Gerald worked on the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie (P&LE) Railroad and retired from Youngstown City Schools, where he served for 30 years in various roles such as utility fireman and head custodian.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family in addition to socializing with his close friends in the neighborhood. He appreciated the company of the family dog, Whiskey, who never left his side. Lastly, Jerry had a passion for motorcycles, taking care of his home and treating himself to a nice steak dinner on the weekends.

He deeply loved his two boys, Jerry Jr. and Michael, who continually state, “they don’t make ’em like this no more,” when referring to their beloved dad.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving is his brother, Joseph Guerriero Jr., husband of Becke Guerriero, of Columbiana; and his two sons, Gerald Guerriero Jr., husband of Jennifer Guerriero, of Austintown and Michael Guerriero of Boardman.

Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512, and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the funeral home, with a funeral service at 11 a.m., followed by burial in Lake Park Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
