Helen M. Jones 1945-2025

Helen was born July 30, 1945, in Youngstown, a daughter of Walter and Ruth McFarland Stere. She was a 1964 graduate of North High School.

Helen was a member of First Baptist Church of Hubbard and TOPS Club.

She was a manager with Handel’s Ice Cream for many years.

Helen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family: her children, David (Eileen) Jones, Darin Jones (Heidi Himes), Daniel (Trina) Jones and Drew (Jessica) Jones, all of Hubbard; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, James (Nancy) Stere of Hubbard.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Roth and Pauline Cyritzer; and brothers, Carl Stere, Glen Stere and Paul Stere.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

Helen will be laid to rest in Fair Oaks Cemetery in New Wilmington, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Omni Manor Health Care Center, 3245 Vestal Road, Youngstown, OH 44509.
