Judy A. Marsh 1949-2025

AUSTINTOWN — Judy A. Marsh, 75, passed away Sunday evening, April 6, 2025, with her loving daughter and granddaughter by her side.

She was born July 15, 1949, in Lebanon, Pa., the daughter of Lloyd Olt and Lorraine Knapp, and moved to Lake Milton as a child, where she attended Jackson Milton High School.

Judy was employed in the restaurant and entertainment industry, along with being a proud homemaker. She was a true matriarch for her family, always making them her top priority, and looked forward to spending time with them. She loved to bake and her family will miss all of her wonderful pastries, especially her kolachi, shoo-fly pie, bundt cake, sugar cookies and fabulous zucchini bread.

Judy will be remembered for her smile, strength and strong will. She was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 34 and lived an independent lifestyle until recently.

She loved watching horror movies, playing cards, listening to music — especially from the ’50s — and was a huge Elvis fan. Judy also enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, flowers and gardening. She had an amazing green thumb! If the sun was out, she was basking in it while tending to her flower baskets.

Judy leaves behind to hold onto her memories, two daughters, Christine (Sam) Oliver of Canfield, whom she referred to as her angel, and Peggy Poehler of Masury; her 12 grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Courtney, Gianna, Michael, Amanda, Joseph, Hunter, Drew, Phillip, Zachary and Forrest; her many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd (Rita) Olt Jr.; along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Judy was greeted at Heaven’s gates by her husband, Larry L. Marsh; her beloved son, Michael L. Marsh; and her aunt Marion, who doted upon her as her own daughter.

Family and friends may pay their respects to Judy 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, and again, 10 to 10:50 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, in the chapel of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Charles Borromeo Church, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, where a funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m., with the Very Rev. Msgr. John Zuraw J.C.L, V.G. as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown.

Judy’s family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff of Select Specialty Hospital, but especially to Annette and Niki for the kindness and devotion shown to Judy during this difficult time. Her family also wishes to express gratitude to Zaida, Frisco, Paige, Paul and Brenda for all the care, concern and love shown to Judy throughout the years.
