Judy M. Wytko 1953-2025

MILTON TOWNSHIP — Judy M. Wytko, 71, passed away peacefully from Alzheimer’s disease on Thursday morning, April 24, 2025, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 21, 1953, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late John Michael Nyers and Julia Marie Gulas Nyers.
She married the love of her life, Paul Stephen Wytko, on July 16, 1977, and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage. Judy graduated from Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1971, and continued her education at Youngstown State University, becoming the first female graduate of the Industrial Engineer Program. After working for Republic Steel as an industrial engineer, she decided to remain at home and be a wonderful mom and later a fantastic grandmother.
Over the years, she taught CCD classes at St. Stevens of Hungary and St. James Catholic churches. She also was president of the PTA for Jackson Milton Elementary School.
Judy loved to travel, going all over the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and also Europe. She loved bicycling, once riding from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C., with her husband. She also loved flowers, gardening, swimming, playing cards and being a grandmother to her grandchildren.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ken Nyers.
She is survived by her husband, Paul S. Wytko of Milton Township; two sons, Daniel (Rachel) Wytko of Columbia, Maryland, and Adam (Terri) Wytko of Columbia, Maryland; seven grandchildren, Lance, Lillian, Brooks, Grant, Lincoln, Simon and Lucinda; and three brothers, John (Jane) Nyers of Medina, Mike (Marcia) Nyers of Newark and Robert Nyers of Brunswick, Georgia.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2024, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday April 29, 2025, at the funeral home, with Father Joseph Rudjak officiating.
Judy will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Austintown.
The family has requested that all donations please be made to Mercy Health Hospice of the Valley by Compassus, 979 Tibbetts Wick Road, Suite A, Girard, OH 44420, in her memory.
The family would like to thank Sis Albers and Latonda Stanford for the loving care they provided Judy in the last years and months of her life.
