Mary Ann Grieco 1936-2025

Mary Ann was born Nov. 20, 1936, in Youngstown, the daughter of Dennis and Sarah Mariola Troll.

Over the years, Mary Ann enjoyed music, playing the piano, crocheting, tending to her flowers, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. As an avid sports fan, she was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians, looking forward to spring every year. She was a member of St. Dominic Church.

Her husband, Pasquale “Patsy” Grieco, whom she married May 4, 1957, passed away Oct. 9, 2001.

Mary Ann will always be remembered lovingly by her five children, Mary Louise (Lawrence) Shipley, Louis (Cindy) Grieco, Dominic (Robin) Grieco, Laurie (Bob) Ashman and Robert (Kelly) Grieco; seven grandchildren, Abby (Jim), Kaitlyn (Aaron), Robert (Amy), Ashley (Mike), Emily (Simon), Andrew and Joshua; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Thomas, Cora, Jackie, Dennis, Donna and Rosalie; and her close friend, Josephine “Tootsie” Gorvet.

The family will receive relatives and friends 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, followed by a 7 p.m. service.
