Michael D. Hosa 1961-2025

Michael was born April 14, 1961, in Youngstown, to Robert and Mary Elizabeth Scheetz Hosa. After graduating from Cardinal Mooney in 1979, he took some courses at Youngstown State University.

He was a supervisor for Vinylume Products Window Design Department and was a member of St. Dominic Church.

Michael was a fan of Punxsutawney Phil and watching Cleveland Browns football on TV. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping in the mountains and hanging out at Chippers on Mahoning Avenue. He was a wonderful caretaker for his elderly parents until their passing.

Leaving to cherish Michael’s memory are his sister, Carol (Dan) Cibock; niece, Janelle (Paul) Bartholomy; nephew, Benjamin Cibock; great-nephew, Aiden Bartholomy; many cousins; former spouse, Chris Verostko; and his dogs.

Along with his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister, Janet Hosa.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025, at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave., Youngstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

He will be laid to rest with his family at Calvary Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
