Tami A. Vitello 1959-2025

YOUNGSTOWN — Tami A. Vitello, 65, passed away in the early afternoon, Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Tami was born Wednesday, May 20, 1959, in Youngstown. She was a daughter of Carmen and Mary Jane Lariccia Squeglia and was a lifelong member of the community.

Tami was employed by Mercy Health as a tele-sitter for a number of years. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and a 1977 graduate of Ursuline High School. She loved her four granddaughters dearly and looked forward to their daily video calls. She also enjoyed the beach and exploring for seashells, spending time outside gardening and taking care of flowers, as well as cooking and baking.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Chris Vitello; daughters, Alyssa (Kevin) Barry of Perrysburg; Amanda (who is known as Mimi, and her husband Mark) Groesch of Avon Lake; son, Christopher Vitello of Youngstown; sister Andrea (Greg) Padach of Youngstown; and grandchildren, Frankie, Emme, Gemma and Mila.

Besides her parents, Tami was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Liz Dunlea.

A celebration of Tami’s life will be held at a later date.
