Violet M. Romeo 1931-2025

NEW MIDDLETOWN — Violet M. Romeo, 94, died Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Masternick Memorial.
Violet was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Bessemer, Pa., a daughter of Paul and Edna Rucinski. She lived in Bessemer her entire life until she required extra care.
After graduating from Mohawk High School, she married Richard Romeo on May 1, 1950. She worked in cafeteria services for the Mohawk Area School District.
Violet liked to play golf, watch football, plant flowers and travel to Florida with her husband, Richard.
She was a member of the choir at St. Anthony Church in Bessemer. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church later in life.
Violet leaves her husband, Richard; two sons, Richard R. Romeo of Houston, Pa., and Dale J. (Phyllis) Romeo of Seminole, Florida; a brother, Eugene Rucinski of Bessemer; three grandchildren, Richard (Jennifer) Romeo of New Middletown, Amanda Bernier of Seminole, Florida, and Christine (John) Stoffick of Poland; seven grandchildren, Gina, Vito, Andrew, Ethan, Preston, Parker and Harper; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Cecelia (Bill) Johnson, Lillian (Edward) Cracraft; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Rucinski.
A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Parish, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, OH 44442.
Friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
