Kamala Harris is the future of America
DEAR EDITOR:
June 2024, Ohio Republican Jim Jordan had everybody stand up and say the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag at the Department of Justice hearing.
It made me think back in 1944 when I was 6 years old in the first grade. We all stood and said the pledge, and in the sixth grade, we all stood and sang the national anthem and the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.”
In 1964, when I was 26 years old, Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson had to sign the Civil Rights Act because of all the discrimination going on in our “We the People” America.
Why did he have to do that? According to the pledge, anthem and hymn, everything was a-OK. Were we programmed and brainwashed at a very early age to believe that everything in our “We the People” America with no exceptions was a-OK? I’m asking you, “We the People.”
In 2024, we have the Trump Republican Party MAGA movement. For the last eight years of planned chaos they have been trying to pull the wool over voters’ eyes with all of their big lies, multiple criminal convictions and indictments; they are wolves in sheep’s clothing. Do the American people want these Republican criminals representing us on the world stage?
Kamala Harris’ campaign is the future of “We the People” America to protect the liberties and freedoms of our democracy and workers’ economic future.
Thank you, Joe Biden, America’s president; thank you for giving America Kamala Harris. She is a breath of fresh air.
