DEAR EDITOR:

As a reminder, 45’s four ongoing criminal cases: 34 felony counts in NYC (falsifying business records); federal charges of mishandling classified documents (Florida); attempting to overturn the 2020 U.S. presidential election (D.C.); and attempting to change the outcome of the U.S. presidential election in Georgia.

Then there are the frequent accusations that 45 is ethically and morally bankrupt; and finally, numerous mental health professionals have agreed that “The Donald” displays many (most?) signs and symptoms of narcissism.

Now, don’t take my word on this, just Google “Trump the criminal” and spend the rest of your day reading the madness this inept candidate has spawned throughout his entire lifetime. Then read the books written by his relatives attesting to his lack of fitness in MANY areas of cognitive and emotional stability. It’s frightening, to say the least! So, let’s look at some of the narcissistic traits displayed by 45 and you be the judge if this type of individual belongs in the White House.

Have you ever witnessed any of the following traits in your past president:

•   Grandiose sense of self.

•   Excessive focus on self.

•   Requires excessive admiration.

•   Displays a sense of entitlement .

•   Seeks attention in every situation,

¶   Proud and arrogant attitudes or behaviors.

•   Inflated sense of self-importance.

•   Manipulative

•   Blaming and shaming others.

•   Exaggerated achievements and talents.

•   Controlling.

•   Preoccupation with power.

•   Lack of empathy.

•  Exploiting others and hypersensitive.

Well, there you have it, an individual so self-absorbed that all resultant behavioral manifestations reflect a mindset of complete self-importance. If so, it’s quite scary. If not, where have you been and how have you not been a witness to these aberrations, 45’s evident loss of basic human qualities?

To further add to the misalignment and derangement of will — as evidenced by Trump contagion and the shared narcissistic symbiosis — is the misguided loyalty by avid followers, the so-called Trumpsters. How have so many good, hardworking citizens succumbed to the lies, deception, disinformation / misinformation spread by his aberrant behaviors and outright malfeasance?

If 45 is reinstated as leader of the free world, we are all in trouble. More importantly, our democratic form of government will be in that proverbial slow slide toward totalitarianism.

Between now and Nov. 5, please educate yourself about the childhood, adolescence and adulthood of this man. Learn how compromised attachment and bonding experienced during the formative years have contributed to his obvious ego dysfunction as an adult. Very scary, indeed.

Harris and Walz are the ONLY reasonable way to go!
