Hold Mill Creek Park leaders accountable

DEAR EDITOR:

In response to the Nov. 9-10 Sound Off from the person who did not want their name in the Vindy and does not understand what is truly going on in Mill Creek Park:

My letters of truth will continue until Aaron Young stops all lies and stops this unnecessary slaughter of our wildlife. Our deer are not overpopulated and this is not a hunting ground turned into a business for deer meat. It is extremely dangerous to people in their homes and they are not pets either.

If my article has been sensationalized, I thank you. You should be invited to watch the gruesome rounding up of baby deer and their mothers and watch and listen as their skin is unjustly torn apart and they scream out with the most pathetic sounds of anguish. Maybe it won’t be so sensationalized in person?

When will Aaron Young and his committee be held accountable for their blatant lies to the public, their lack of transparency and their unjustified spending of our tax dollars? For not having to be made accountable? Now, they have stopped our three minutes to speak, knowing they have never answered a thing we ever asked.

I’m not making it appear to be, I am telling you that in my opinion, Aaron Young and the committee are monsters. The deer were never overpopulated and they certainly are not now, only a monster would want to slaughter every one of our parks’ deer. Killing is not saving; educate yourself. Volney Rodgers made our park a sanctuary for all the wildlife. A sanctuary is to protect, love, take care of what God “gave to us.” This is wildlife, our wildlife.

Because deer are not our pets, they should be mutilated to death? They are God’s creatures and should be enjoyed for every significant beautiful feature they possess, and you have no right to call for their death. These deer were born in our park, know our voices, our person, our walk, our smell, so they have imprinted upon us … this is why they are like pets.

I am not uneducated about this situation; we have been doing this for almost two years and we know every lie, inside and out.

I format my own letters from my heart, from the truth that I know. Do you honestly believe that I would waste my time if it were not necessary? I am very passionate about this situation and I want it to stop. The only ones that are destroying the vegetation is the park. They have been cutting it down themselves. They are trying to make openings for views.

Look up the word “saving.” You don’t seem to have the meaning correct.
