DEAR EDITOR:

Nary a week goes by without a few letters stating Trump is the devil and an existential threat to our republic. That’s OK; this a country where speech is protected. What I fail to understand is why these same individuals never complain of being lied to since 2020.

The national media, including the White House press corps, never once reported on the mental decline of Joe Biden. They and the Democratic Party elites kept Biden in “the basement” instead of on the campaign trail to supposedly protect him from COVID. This was a lie and clearly evident by observing his gait during 2020. The media and the medical establishment lied about masks preventing the spread of COVID, the 6 feet of distance, the necessity of closing many businesses and the efficacy of the COVID vaccines and protocols. Many individuals lost businesses and employment because of the vaccine mandate. Physicians who disagreed with the government’s orthodoxy had their licenses threatened. Up until the day Biden announced he was not seeking re-election, the press and Democratic officials stated Biden had zero cognitive issues. His debate performance was so bad that he was forced to withdraw. The lie was that he voluntarily decided not to seek re-election.

The government colluded with the tech companies to censure those who disagreed with the government’s positions from COVID to the border. Mark Zuckerberg recently testified that the government pressured Facebook and other social media companies to comply with its positions. Thank God Elon Musk bought Twitter and opened up the platform for all ideas to be shared. Alejandro Mayorkas testified numerous times that the border was secure despite what our eyes observed. They told us men can have babies, amazingly ignoring biology. Joe Biden’s Justice Department went after the school parents who did not want their daughters to share bathrooms and locker rooms with men and boys. Biden stated white supremacy was the biggest threat to our nation. I think those in New Orleans and Magdeberg, Germany, may likely dispute this. The FBI recently lied about a decrease in crime when in fact it had risen.

So can the writers tell me why Trump is still the major threat to our republic? Biden has lied to the American people since the day he was sworn in. Seems to me it is the dishonest national media and dishonest political leaders, especially those on the left, who are the main threat to our republic. Without a fair press, I fear we will lose our freedom.
