Democrats haven’t figured it out yet

DEAR EDITOR:

The Democrats just do not get it. They did not lose just because Kamala Harris was a woman or because Joe Biden lied about his health issues. They lost because they did not listen to what Americans wanted. What were the two biggest issues?

The two issues that lost the election for the Democrats were their border policy (or lack of one) and their wokeism. Whether you agree or disagree with these two issues, most Americans saw these issues as important to them.

Unchecked immigration policies and a lack of following the law is something that troubled most Americans. The cost to state and federal programs was daunting. These immigrants were crossing the border illegally. Everyone knew it and nobody stopped it.

The policies and legislation regarding wokeism is not what most Americans wanted. Sure, we all want fair and equitable laws that protect all Americans. But to fire a professor because they did not use the correct pronoun just does not make sense. I do not know how pronouns can make that much of a difference in one’s life.

Letting male-born people use female bathrooms turned off many Americans. Just because someone identifies as female, does not give them the right to use a female bathroom. Changing all bathrooms in the U. S. to unisex bathrooms may be the answer. And male-born people should not be able to compete in female sports for obvious reasons.

Democrats need to rid themselves of AOC, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders and Harris. Donald Trump won, in part, due to the woke policies supported by the Democrats and polarized the nation. Democrats need new leaders who will unify the nation.

One more thing. CNN and MSNBC are not news channels. All they give us are the opinions of the commentators and guests. Both CNN and MSNBC are left-leaning and rarely have opposing views on their broadcasts. FOX does the same thing but leans towards the right.

Only NewsNation presents an issue and invites guests from the right and left to debate or give their views so the audience can decide how they feel about the issue.
