GIRLS BASKETBALL
Kennedy 56, Mooney 31 — The Eagles soared to the dominant win over the Cardinals thanks to a strong 23-point first quarter. Kennedy’s Didi Ryan and Gianna Pompelia each tallied 17 points to lead the Eagles and all scorers. Aniyah Johnson also added 10 points to round out Kennedy’s leading scorers. In the loss, Delanie Olesh led the Cardinals with nine points, five of which came from the foul line.
Western Reserve 50, Chalker 22 — A 22-point first quarter springboarded the Blue Devils to the big win over the Wildcats. Isabella Mauro made seven buckets and drained both of her shots from the charity stripe to earn top-scorer status with 16, while Quincy Miller was right behind with 14 points. For Chalker, Abby Grimm led with 11 points.
Badger 46, Mathews 44 — The close match was determined by the Braves consistent performance in the first half as they outscored the Mustangs by six points. Mathews battled back in the second half, but Badger would not be denied the win thanks to a game-high 17 points from Gabriella Miller, while Sophie Stanhope and Riley Thomas each added 12 points to level the Braves’ leading scorers. For Mathews, Rilee Paddock led with 16 points. Marlee Ruiter and Mia DelGarbino lent 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss.
Poland 40, Girard 33 — Despite a pair of 14-point performances from Girard, the Bulldogs topped the Indians. For Poland, Lucy Harrell was crowned the game’s top scorer with 15 points to lead the Bulldogs. Girard’s Caylee Wilkes and Aly Gassman both led the Indians with 14 points each.
Aurora 39, Boardman 33 — In a close game throughout, a late surge from the Greenmen proved too much for the Spartans to overcome as Aurora topped Boardman by six. Boardman’s Sarah Bero tallied 10 points to lead the Spartans in the loss. Aurora statistics were not submitted.
Valley Christian 29, East Palestine 21 — In a low scoring affair, the Eagles pulled out the win thanks to 14 points from Na’ariyah Graham to lead Valley Christian over East Palestine. In the loss, Kennedy Andre and Jacklyn Ogle each scored six points to lead the Bulldogs.

LaBrae 55, Champion 37 — Although they got off to a shaky start in the first quarter, the Vikings stepped it up for the remainder of the game and crushed the Golden Flashes. Derek Wilson drilled five three-pointers for LaBrae on his way to a 31-point night. Dan McLaughlin added 10 points to help lead LaBrae. In the loss, Braylen Braham tallied 11 points to lead Champion.
Campbell 67, Western Reserve 63 — An explosive second half for the Red Devils paved the way to the win over the Blue Devils. Teyon Harris’ 15 points in the second half en route to a 25-point game led Campbell in the win, while Josue Rodriguez added 18, 12 of which came in the second half. For Western Reserve, Connor Cochran led all scorers with 31 points, draining five shots from beyond the arc to lead the Blue Devils in the loss. Josh Klasic added 13 and Nico Paris tallied 10 points for Western Reserve as well.
