GIRLS BASKETBALL
Jackson-Milton 40, Sebring 28 — On both teams, the offensive output was due in part to mostly one person, but the Blue Jays team scoring was enough to top the Trojans. For Jackson-Milton, Amani Yasin accounted for half of the team’s points with 20 while Emma Johns added 12. For Sebring, Raegan Wynn recorded a game-high 23 points in the loss.
Garfield 46, Champion 25 — The G-Men exploded for 34 points in the second quarter to cruise to victory over the Golden Flashes. Nearly all those who saw playing time for Garfield scored, but the G-Men were led by Mandy Cardinal with 11 points. In the loss for Champion, Mackenzie Braham led with eight points.
LaBrae 29, Newton Falls 10 — In the low scoring affair, the Vikings cooled the Tigers’ offense to claim the Monday night contest. Angel Scruggs and Marissa Levensky shouldered leading scorer duties for LaBrae with 11 points each. For Newton Falls in the loss, Madison Davis recorded eight points to lead.
Badger 45, Bristol 29 — The Braves throttled the Panthers thanks in part to a strong offensive showing in the second half. Gabriella Miller paced Badger with a game-high 18 points and Sophie Stanhope lent 15 points for the Braves. For Bristol in the loss, Sadie Mansfield led with 12 points.
Lakeview 65, Grand Valley 53 — The Bulldogs jumped ahead of the Mustangs early and stayed on top to claim Monday’s contest. Kalyssa Werner was nearly perfect from the free-throw line on her way to a game high 17 points for Lakeview while Sophie Irwin added 11 points to lead the Bulldogs. In the loss, Chloe Turk and Bre Rowland led Grand Valley with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Crestview 71, Southeast 35 — No statistics from either team were submitted.
