GIRLS BASKETBALL
West Branch 36, Salem 32 — The Warriors held onto a slim lead going into the fourth quarter, but posted an 11-point final frame to claim the contest over the Quakers. Audrey Eaton led the West Branch offense with 12 points. In the loss, Reese Davidson-Chuck tallied a game-high 14 points for Salem.
Mineral Ridge 74, Lowellville 41 — The Rams bounced back from a loss earlier this week with a dominant win over the Rockets. Mineral Ridge utilized a 28-point third quarter to earn the win. Ava Hulett posted a double-double to lead the Rams, tallying 30 points and hauling in 10 rebounds while Lily Merolillo added 20. Lowellville statistics were not submitted.
Springfield 59, Jackson-Milton 38 — The Tigers claimed their seventh consecutive win Wednesday night, cruising to the win over the Blue Jays. Jameka Brungard led all scorers with 24 points for Springfield while Maren Vinkler added 12. In the loss, Amani Yasin recorded 19 points for Jackson-Milton and Gabby Kerr lent 11 points.
Canfield 42, Howland 37 — The Cardinals jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter to propel them to the win over the Tigers. Jenna Triveri led Canfield with 13 points while Sam Castronova was right behind with 12 points. For Howland in the loss, Maya Kubancsek led all scorers with 18 points.
LaBrae 44, Garfield 34 — The Vikings came out of intermission and held the G-Men to four points in the third quarter in the Wednesday night win. Angel Scruggs and Marissa Levensky split leading scorer duties for LaBrae with 14 points each. In the loss, Riley Grace led the way for Garfield with 11 points.
Berkshire 53, Windham 33 — The Badgers picked up their fourth consecutive win with a thrashing of the Bombers Wednesday night. It was an all-around team effort for Berkshire’s scoring, but Ivy Martin led the charge with nine points. In the loss, Makenna Jones paced Windham with 12 points.
Chalker 49, St. John’s 46 — The Wildcats took a commanding lead into the fourth quarter and were able to stave off the Fighting Heralds’ offensive attack in the final frame to earn the win. Tatum Hudak led Chalker with 18 points and Abby Grimm added 13 in the win. For St. John’s, Izzy Holler led with 17 points.

Howland 61, Niles 38 — The Tigers snapped a six-game losing streak with a much-needed win over the Red Dragons. Leading the Howland offense was Darren Douglas and Anthony Chieffo with 12 points each. For Niles, True Carey-Hardin paced all scorers with 17 points and Avon Fryer tallied 12 points in the loss.
