GIRLS BASKETBALL
Boardman 47, Howland 31 — The Spartans earned the big win over the Tigers thanks in part to a strong first half performance. Boardman carried a 23-point lead into the half and that momentum propelled the Spartans to the win. Jocelynn Torres tallied 11 points for Boardman, while Mikayla Rivera had 12 and Sarah Bero added 10 points to lead the Spartans. In the loss, Sophia Powell recorded 10 points to lead Howland.
Salem 41, Minerva 37 — An 18-point fourth quarter was too little too late for the Lions as the Quakers claimed the Wednesday night contest. Abby Knickerbocker paced Salem with 15 points to lead the Quakers. In the loss, Lillian Stoltzfus tallied 11 points behind a pair of triples for Minerva.

Fairport 64, Mathews 52 — The Skippers got off to a rocky start, being down by nine heading into the second quarter, but rallied to earn the 12-point victory over the Mustangs. Fairport’s offensive attack was headed by Charlie Beardslee with 17 points, Yomar Castellano and Jan Castellano with 14 points each and Shane Greenwood with 10 points. Dom Toto paced Mathews with 18 points in the loss, while Logan Linkesh tallied 15.
