GIRLS BASKETBALL
Niles 47, Struthers 38 — The Red Dragons jumped ahead early and never faltered to top the Wildcats Monday. The tandem of Kherington Stanford and Ava Ferri shouldered leading scorer duties for Niles with 13 points each in the win. For Struthers, Gianna Martin paced all scorers with 14 points in the loss.
Jackson-Milton 53, Campbell 12 — The Blue Jays cruised to a dominant win over the Red Devils Monday night. Leading the offensive charge was Emma Johns with 16 points behind four made three pointers, Amani Yasin lent 15 points and Nora Schwarten recorded 12 points. In the loss, Rayonna Brown led Campbell with four points.
Chalker 34, Windham 19 — A 15-point third quarter for the Wildcats made the difference Monday night in the win over the Bombers. The Chalker offensive effort was led by Abby Grimm who tallied 18 points to lead all scorers. In the loss, eight points from Brielle Jones paced Windham.
Champion 42, Liberty 24 — The Golden Flashes snapped a four-game skid with a Monday night win over the Leopards. Mackenzie Braham paced Champion with nine points. In the loss, Armani Franklin led all scorers with 10 points for Liberty.
Badger 33, Fairport Harbor 29 — The Braves trailed heading into the fourth quarter but mounted a comeback to earn the win over the Skippers. Sophie Stanhope recorded a game-leading 16 points for Badger in the win. For Fairport, Jana Vale led with 10 points in the loss.
Newton Falls 35, Brookfield 31 — The Tigers were down big heading into intermission but the Warriors’ offense fell short in the second half leading to the Newton Falls win. Madison Davis paced Newton Falls with a double-double, tallying 10 points and 10 rebounds. Brookfield statistics were not submitted.
Maplewood 43, Pymatuning Valley 31 — After getting off to a rocky start, the Rockets cruised to the win over the Lakers. Claire Urchek led the Maplewood offense with 14 points while Morgan Himes chipped in 10. For Pymatuning Valley, Kelsie Britton led the way with eight points.
