Open day for Major League Baseball is right around the corner, and one regional team’s broadcasting future became a little clearer.

On Tuesday, the Cleveland Guardians announced the team’s streaming package for the 2025 season. MLB picked up the broadcast rights for the Guardians after Diamond Sports Group, who owned the various Bally Sports networks nationwide, filed for bankruptcy.

For fans who cut the cord, Guardians games will be available to stream on Guardians TV for $99.99 per season or $19.99 per month. According to MLB.com Guardians beat writer Mandy Bell, the new streaming model “will bring Cleveland games into 235% more households than in 2024.”

Spring Training games will also be streamed for free with the creation of a Guardians TV account.

According to the Guardians’ X account, formerly Twitter, the team’s local cable provider will be released “closer to Opening Day.”

The Guardians’ 30-minute pre-game show will return for the 2025 season, but it will only be broadcast prior to home games and a 15-minute postgame show will also be back.

Matt Underwood, Rick Manning and Andre Knott will return for their 11th season calling the Guardians. And Al Pawlowski will be joined by former Indians catcher Chris Gimenez for the pre-game and post-game shows. However, the list of contributors has expanded significantly.

The crew will add Cleveland Cavaliers studio host Cayleigh Griffin as a backup on-field reporter, and the studio crew will also feature several former Cleveland players. The group will consist of closer Cody Allen, first baseman Ben Broussard, second baseman Jason Kipnis, outfielder Austin Jackson and relief pitcher Nick Goody.

Cleveland pitchers and catchers reported on Tuesday, and the rest of the 2025 squad will report on Sunday. The Guardians’ Spring Training opener is set for Feb. 22 in Goodyear, Ariz., when they take on the Cincinnati Reds.

Opening Day for the Guardians is scheduled for March 27 at Kansas City, and the home opener is April 8 against the Chicago White Sox.

Cleveland won the American League Central last season under rookie manager Stephen Vogt. The Guardians downed Detroit in the postseason before falling to the New York Yankees in the ALCS.

Starting at $2.99/week.
