SOFTBALL
Columbiana 6, Minerva 4 — Caitlynn Pleska belted a two-run walk off home run to give the Clippers the win over the Lions. Addison Brode went the distance for Columbiana, throwing a complete game to earn the win while fanning seven, walking one and surrendering nine hits. Columbiana’s offense was led by Caitlynn Pleska with three hits including a double and the walk-off winner, Brode doubled and singled and Alivia Bell tallied three hits. For the Lions, Gabby Kashdan was handed the loss, striking out five. Hannen and Essick each tallied two hits, while Breton doubled and Kashdan homered.
Fitch 22, Magnificat 1 (5 inn.) — Kourtney Fedorek toed the rubber for the Falcons and earned the win after three innings. Offensively for Fitch, Kaliana Ray tallied two hits, Alyssa Rodgers singled and doubled, Bella Baumgart doubled and drove in three runs, Morgan Roby doubled twice and drove in four, Abby Toth singled, homered and drove in a pair of runs and Rachel Spalding singled twice and doubled. For Magnificat, Haley Wheeler doubled and Kate Hershey tallied a pair of hits.
Badger 15, Brookfield 2 (6 inn.) — Isabella Bailey fanned 11 while only allowing three hits and two walks to earn the win in the Braves 13-run victory over the Warriors. Sharf tallied three hits and drove in two runs, Bailey added a pair, Madison Lindus slapped a double and triple, and drove in two, but the Badger offense was propelled by Riley Thomas who belted two hits including a home run and drove in a game-high four runs. Madison Obermiyer picked up the loss for Brookfield, throwing four innings, striking out six and allowing two free passes. Obermiyer also doubled in the loss.
Maplewood 8, Liberty 2 — Emily Perline picked up the win on the rubber for the Rockets, throwing four innings and allowing three hits, one walk and struck out seven. Aleesia Woomer tallied two hits including a double, and Addison Marker drove in two runs for Maplewood. Flops tallied the loss for the Leopards behind three innings pitched, six hits, two walks and three strikeouts. Offensively, Spisak tallied two hits, and Hernandez and Strohmeyer both doubled in the loss.
LaBrae 4, Mineral Ridge 2 — Two runs from LaBrae in the sixth was enough to get the Vikings past the Rams Monday night. Savannah Turek is credited with the loss, throwing 3 2/3 innings and fanning three. Offensively, Turek drilled a solo shot. LaBrae statistics were not submitted.
Bristol 6, Kennedy 4 — The Panthers topped the Eagles Monday night. Leading Bristol offensively was Mycie Workman with three singles. Kennedy statistics were not submitted.
Newton Falls 5, Waterloo 4 — No statistics for either team were submitted.
