BASEBALL
From Monday
Lakeview 3, Girard 2 — After scoring three in the first two innings, the Bulldogs defense took over and kept the Indians scoreless until the top of the seventh, where they scored two. Nathan Paolucci was given the win as the starter, fanning seven while walking three and allowing two hits through six innings. At the dish, Isaiah Lantz singled twice and drove in two runs, Brandon Toot doubled and Eli Gough added a pair of hits. Camron Herrick was given the loss, throwing all six innings while picking up four strikeouts, walking one and allowing six hits. Will Hynes doubled for the Indians.
Maplewood 8, Fairport Harding 2 — The Rockets tallied 10 hits on their way to a six-run routing of the Skippers. For Maplewood, Kenyan Clover, Coleton Logan, Ryan Sexton and Josh Suba each drilled two hits. Clover also picked up the win on the bump, striking out eight while not allowing a free pass through five innings.
SOFTBALL
From Wednesday
Jackson-Milton 18, Springfield 3 (5 inn.) — The Blue Jays scored in every inning with six- and seven-run statements in the even frames to throttle the Tigers. In the loss, Giuliana Battaglini belted a home run while Corissa Allen doubled. Jackson-Milton statistics were not submitted.
Cardinal Mooney 19, East 6 (5 inn.) — The Cardinals crossed the plate eight times in the first to set the tone in the dominant win over the Golden Bears. Leading the way offensively for Mooney was Julia Ramos with a pair of hits, and Sam Rotunno and Angela Betura each homered. East statistics were not submitted.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Louisville 3, Howland 1 — The Leopards dropped the Tigers in four sets (8-25, 26-24, 25-20, 25-15) to earn the win. In the loss, Wesley Fee recorded 14 kills and four blocks, Nick Caesar added five kills and four blocks, Alex Slater had 10 assists, Freddie Rivera lent 14 digs, six points and two aces, Evan Neely had 10 digs and Carter Jones recorded 14 points and three aces.
